Gabriella Sebastian (Ramsey, N.J.) led the way at the plate with two home runs, the third and fourth of her career. Graduate
Tori Grifone (Sussex, N.J.) commanded the circle for the Friars as she tallied five strikeouts and held the Hoyas to six hits and one earned run.
GAME NOTES
- Lee kicked off the Friars' scoring in the first after Emma Eichten (Alamo, Calif.) grounded out to second base.
- The Hoyas tied the score at 1-1 in the third with a home run by Gabby Park.
- Sebastian answered with a solo home run in the top of the fifth to regain a 2-1 lead for Providence.
- Eichten followed with a homer of her own later in the inning to make it 3-1. It marked her second home run of the season and third of her career.
- Sebastian struck again in the sixth with a two-run homer to seal the 5-1 win for PC.
- Grifone pitched a complete game for PC. The graduate student recorded five strikeouts while holding the Hoyas to only six hits and one earned run. She improved to 8-8 on the season.
