INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Providence College softball team fell to Butler, 3-0, in BIG EAST action on Saturday, April 30 in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
GAME NOTES
-The Bulldogs gained the lead in the bottom of the second inning off an RBI from Teagan O'Rilley, 1-0.
-Butler increased its lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning with RBIs from Ella White and Loren Simpson.
-The Friars went 5-for-26 at the plate. Madi Traver (Irving, Texas) contributed two hits for Providence.
-Daniela Alvarez (Santa Ana, Calif.) started in the circle for the Friars. She was the pitcher of record and fell to 8-6 on the season. Jessica Walter (Middleton, Del.) pitched 2.2 innings for the Friars and struck out four batters while allowing zero hits.
 
ON DECK
The Friars will conclude the series against Butler on Sunday, May 1 in Indianapolis, Ind.
