PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College softball team will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to face Butler University in a three-game BIG EAST series from April 29 to May 1.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
The Friars enter the series with a 23-17 overall record and a 9-9 record in BIG EAST play. Providence is looking to get back in the win column after going 0-3 against Villanova last weekend.

Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) leads the Friars at the plate this season batting a .353 average. She leads the team in hits (42), RBIs (24) and homeruns (9).
Lea Kosinski (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) has also made an impact at the plate this season batting a .357 average over 42 at-bats.

Tori Grifone (Sussex, N.J.) leads the pitching staff this season pitching a team-high 110.2 innings, with a 10-8 record. She has posted a 2.78 ERA and has struck out 146 batters.
Daniela Alvarez (Santa Ana, Calif.) holds a 8-5 record with 80 strikeouts through 94.1 innings pitched.

SCOUTING BUTLER
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 27-14 overall record and 12-5 record in conference play. Butler is currently on a six-game win streak with a recent three-game sweep over Creighton and win over IUPUI on April 26.

Lauren Fey leads Butler at the plate this season posting a .383 batting average. She has recorded a team-high 46 hits. Monique Hoosen leads the team in homeruns (9) and RBIs (24).

Alyssa Graves and Karli Ricketts lead the Bulldogs in the circle, pitching 91.0 and 110.1 innings, respectively. Graves holds an 11-3 record with a team-best 2.08 ERA, while Ricketts holds a 2.22 ERA and 13-4 record.

The Friars will host DePaul University for their final regular season BIG EAST series beginning on May 6 on Glay Field in Providence, R.I.
