PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â Elysia Cunnigan's (Corona, Calif.) RBI double in the bottom of the sixth proved to be the difference as the Providence College softball team defeated Georgetown, 6-5, on Saturday (April 2) at Glay Field. With the win, Providence improves to 20-9 and 7-4 in BIG EAST play.

GAME NOTES
-Georgetown raced out to a 3-0 lead after a half inning after RBI hits by Kayla Dunn and Cameron Condo.
-The Friars responded to take the lead in the bottom of the second with a four-run outburst, led by
Rachael Petrarca's (Clearwater, Fla.) bases loaded double that knocked in three runs.
- Providence extended the lead to 5-3 in the bottom of the fourth after Cunnigan scored on a passed ball.
- The Hoyas tied the game in the top of the fifth on Dunn's RBI double.
- Cunnigan was a big factor in the bottom of the sixth, as her RBI double off the top of the fence in left-center gave the Friars a 6-5 lead.

Tori Grifone (Sussex, N.J.) pitched the final three innings in relief, earning the win while only allowing two hits and striking out three.
