SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
Providence enters this BIG EAST series having won 17 of its last 20 games. The Friars recently opened BIG EAST play with a program-best 7-1 start. Additionally, their eight-game winning streak- which tied a school record- came to an end in the series finale against Seton Hall earlier this season.

Last week against Boston University, Cameron Dunn (Bothell, Wash.) recorded her 100th career hit. In addition to Dunn, Providence has two players closing in on 100 career hits. Sofia Peterson (Bordentown, N.J.) and Elisa Smith (Glen Allen, Va.) are both within single digits of the milestone.

Dunn has had an impressive season for Providence so far. She recorded her 13th home run of the season on Wednesday, April 15, breaking the program's single-season record. The infielder has been featured on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll four times and leads the team with 47 RBI, 14 home runs, and a .921 slugging percentage while batting .416. Her 14 home runs are tied for first in the BIG EAST and her .921 slugging percentage puts her at second in the conference.

Emily Jonte (Allen, Texas) has provided a strong start for the Friars, posting a .397 batting average. The senior has recorded 31 hits, 12 RBI, and a .538 slugging percentage. Jonte was named BIG EAST Player of the Week earlier this season following her performance in a weekend sweep of DePaul.

In the circle, junior Alyssa Twomey (Warwick, R.I.) leads the pitching staff with an 8-1 record and a 2.92 ERA. She has recorded 48 strikeouts across 60.0 innings pitched, and her ERA ranks second in the BIG EAST. Twomey was recently named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a 1.94 ERA and 10 strikeouts over 18.0 innings, helping Providence to a series sweep over St. John's. She tossed two complete games in the series, including a complete-game shutout to clinch the sweep.

SCOUTING UCONN
The Huskies enter this weekend's series with a 21-22 overall record and a 12-3 mark in the BIG EAST, putting them in second place behind Providence.
