Providence will face Stonehill in a doubleheader on April 21, followed by a single game at Bryant on April 23.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â The Providence College softball team will continue non-conference play with a three-game road trip, beginning with a doubleheader against Stonehill College on Monday, April 21 in Easton, Mass. First pitch for game one is set for 1:00 p.m. The Friars will then travel to Smithfield, R.I. to face Bryant University in a single game on Wednesday, April 23. First pitch against the Bulldogs is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.Â
SCOUTING PROVIDENCEÂ
Providence enters the series with an 18-24 overall record and an 11-10 mark in BIG EAST play. The Friars are coming off a successful road trip at Georgetown, where they claimed the series with two wins in three games.Â
Junior Elisa Smith (Glen Allen, Va.) and Cameron Dunn lead the Friars offensively, batting .366 and .360, respectively. Smith paces the team with 48 hits, 29 runs scored and a .447 on-base percentage while Dunn owns a team-best .623 slugging percentage, along with 32 RBI and seven home runs.Â
Senior Gabriella Sebastian (Ramsey, N.J.) made a major impact in the Georgetown series, collecting four hits, including three home runs and a double, to finish with a 1.400 slugging percentage. She totaled four RBI and four runs scored across 10 at-bats.Â
Graduate student Tori Grifone (Sussex, N.J.) capped off last week with a 1-0 record across 8.2 innings of work. She allowed just one earned run on seven hits, while holding opposing batters to a .219 average. In game one against Georgetown, Grifone delivered a complete-game performance, going the full seven innings, while limiting the Hoyas to six hits and one earned run. She recorded five strikeouts and earned her eighth win of the season. Â Â Â Â
SCOUTING STONEHILLÂ Â
Stonehill enters the midweek series with an 11-29 overall record and a 3-12 mark in NEC play. The Skyhawks are coming off a weekend series at Central Connecticut State, where they dropped two out of three games.Â
Senior catcher Shannon Conte led the way in Stonehill's lone win of the series, driving in a season-high three RBI. She is currently tied for second on the team with 16 RBI this season.Â
In the circle, Harper Sullivan has been a key arm for the Skyhawks. She owns a 4-3 record with 21 strikeouts across 62.1 innings pitched, allowing 40 earned runs and 97 hits on the year.Â

SCOUTING BRYANTÂ
Bryant enters the matchup with a 14-26 overall record including a 6-9 mark in American East play. The Bulldogs are coming off weekend series at UMBC, where they dropped two out of three games. The Friars earned a 5-4 victory over the Bulldogs earlier this season on April 9 at Glay Field.Â
Meaghan Houk and Sam Rohwer lead the Bryant lineup with a .385 and .346 batting average, respectively. Houk holds a team-best .615 slugging percentage. Rohwer leads the squad in hits (37), RBI (30) and home runs (six). She recorded two two-run home runs in the team's lone win over UMBC, marking the first multi-homer game of her career. She added another home run in the series finale against the Retrievers.Â
Maddy Wachter leads the pitching staff with a 3.80 ERA, 6-6 record and 45 strikeouts across 73.2 innings of work. Wachter holds 45 strikeouts on the season. Â

The Friars will host a three-game series against Tarleton State on Glay Field in Providence, R.I. The series begins with a doubleheader on Friday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m., followed by the finale on Saturday, April 26 at 12:00 p.m. Saturday's game will honor softball's senior student-athletes. Â
