PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College softball team fell to Creighton University in the series finale on Saturday (April 29), 7-0.
GAME NOTES
- The Bluejays got off to strong offensive start in the first inning scoring four runs. Emma Rosonke doubled to left center field to kick-off the scoring for the Bluejays.
- Creighton's Kailey Wilson hit an RBI double to center field to extend the Bluejays lead to 5-0 in the second inning.
- The lead was extended in the top of the fifth inning as the Bluejays tacked on two more runs to make it a 7-0 game.

Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) led the way for the Friars with two hits.

Riley Quirk (Holden, Mass.) started the game and pitched 3.1 innings, allowing five earned runs on nine hits.

Elysia Cunnigan (Corona, Calif.) added 2.2 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just two hits.

Jessica Walter (Middletown, Del.) allowed two earned runs on three hits over one inning of relief.
ON DECK
The Friars will conclude their regular season schedule next weekend (May 5-7) on the road at Villanova University.
