PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College softball team fell to Seton Hall, 10-0, in five innings at Glay Field on Friday (April 21).
GAME NOTES
- A pair of RBI singles in the top of the first inning gave the Pirates an early 2-0 lead.
- Lela Allen extended the Pirates' lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning with an RBI single.
- Seton Hall exploded for seven runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 10-0 lead and close the contest out in five innings.
- Freshman Riley Quirk (Holden, Mass.) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing three earned runs.
- Senior Elysia Cunnigan (Corona, Calif.) came in for relief, pitching 2.1 innings and surrendering four earned runs.
- Emily Jonte (Allen, Texas) also made an appearance, pitching 0.1 innings and allowing three unearned runs.
ON DECK
The Friars will conclude their three-game series against the Pirates on Saturday (April 22) with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
