PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College softball team is set to welcome Seton Hall University to Glay Field in Providence, R.I. for a three-game series. The series will begin on Friday, April 21.
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
Providence enters the series with a 12-25 overall record and 4-11 BIG EAST mark. This will mark the Friars first conference game since April 6 when they defeated Georgetown, 12-8 in Washington, D.C.
Junior
Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) continues to pace the Friars lineup, as she is hitting a team-high .372 batting average. She also leads the team in hits (42), RBIs (28) and home runs (8). Sophomore
Kaelyn Loncharich (Yucaipa, Calif.) has had a successful week at the plate registering three hits through two games. She taillied two hits against Harvard on April 18 and recorded the Friars only hit against Boston College on April 19.
Freshman
Riley Quirk (Holden, Mass.) has appeared in 21 games in the circle for the Friars this season. She has pitched 65.0 innings and has recorded 29 strikeouts.
SCOUTING SETON HALL
Seton Hall comes to Glay Field with a 32-13 overall record and 12-3 BIG EAST record. The Pirates are currently in second place in the BIG EAST standings.
Senior Abby Wingo leads the Pirates at the plate recording a .414 batting average. She has tallied 55 hits, 10 doubles and 30 RBIs. Sophomore Taylor Hill has recorded 47 hits through 140 at-bats. She has also scored 35 runs for the Pirates and has registered 12 doubles and six home runs.
Junior Kelsey Carr has gone 8-3 in the circle pitching 85.2 total innings for the Pirates. She has recorded a team-best 1.72 ERA and has allowed 24 runs. Senior Shelby Smith has pitched a team-high 104.0 innings while striking out a team-high 105 batters.

The Friars will host Brown University on Wednesday, April 26 at Glay Field in Providence, R.I.
