PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College softball team will host Stonehill College
on Wednesday, March 22 on Glay Field in Providence, R.I. before welcoming Butler for a three-game BIG EAST series
beginning on Friday, March 24.
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
The Friars enter Wednesday's game with a 9-13 overall record and a 2-4 BIG EAST record. Providence went 1-2 in its three-game series against BIG EAST foe UConn on Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18.
Junior
Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) continues to pace the Friars lineup, as she is hitting a team-high .333 batting average. She also leads the team in hits (21) and RBIs (12). Sophomore
Rachael Petrarca (Clearwater, Fla.) has posted a .296 batting average recording 16 hits and 10 RBIs.
Junior
Tori Grifone (Sussex, N.J.) has contributed 73.2 innings in the circle this season. She has struck out a team-high 83 batters. Senior
Elysia Cunnigan (Corona, Calif.) has gone 3-1 on the mound while posting a 2.24 ERA.
SCOUTING STONEHILL
Stonehill enters Wednesday's game with a 0-17 overall record.
Senior Alexa Adinolfi leads the Skyhawks with seven hits posting a .189 batting average. Sophomore Shannon Conte and sophomore Isabella Therrien have contributed four hits each for Stonehill.
Sophomore Skylar Brandemarte has pitched 49.1 innings for the Skyhawks striking out 21 batters.
SCOUTING BUTLER
The Bulldogs are 8-18 overall with a 3-0 BIG EAST record. Butler will face IUPUI
on Wednesday, March 22 before traveling to Providence, R.I.
Redshirt sophomore Kaylee Gross leads the way at the plate for Butler posting a .301 batting average. She has recorded 22 hits and six RBIs. Junior Teagan O'Rilley and junior Monique Hoosen have each contributed 18 hits for Butler.
Senior Mackenzie Griman has pitched 64.1 innings in the circle registering a 3.92 ERA. She has struck out 26 batters and allowed 72 hits.
ON DECK
The Friars will host Rhode Island
on Wednesday, March 29 on Glay Field in Providence, R.I.
