QUEENS, N.Y.- The Providence College softball team was defeated, 2-1, by St. John's (25-10-1, 7-1 BIG EAST) on Sunday, March 29, on Red Storm Field in Queens, N.Y. PC moved to 11-19 overall, including a 6-5 mark BIG EAST play. Sophomore
Cameron Dunn (Bothell, Wash.) got the Friars on the board with a solo home run - her seventh of the season. Sophomore
Alyssa Twomey (Warwick, R.I.) pitched a complete game in the circle for Providence. She faced 25 batters and struck out five. Â

- SJU's Jess Bianco opened the scoring on a wild pitch (1-0). Â
- Dunn drilled a solo home run in the second to tie the score at 1-1. Â
- St. John's pulled ahead in the sixth inning with a solo home run and held on for the 2-1 win.Â
