Men’s Soccer Ranked No. 18 In United Soccer Coaches Top 25

The Friars are nationally ranked for the first time since 2022.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College men's soccer team is currently ranked No. 18 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25. The most recent national poll was released on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The last time the Friars were nationally ranked dates back to the 2022 season when they held the No. 16 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll.
Providence enters the week with a 5-2-1 overall record including a 1-0 mark in BIG EAST action. The Friars are coming off a 1-0 victory over then-ranked No. 8 Seton Hall on Sept. 20.

The Friars will face intra-city rival Brown University (3-2-1) in a non-conference matchup tonight (Sept. 24) on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I. The match is slated for 7:00 p.m. and will stream on FloSports.
The Bears hold a 18-10-9 all-time series edge over the Friars. The last matchup between Brown and Providence ended in a 1-1 draw last season. The Friars' most recent home victory over the Bears dates back to 2019 – a 1-0 victory.
