With the result, the Friars moved to 5-6-2 (3-2-1 BIG EAST), while the Huskies stand at 8-3-4 (3-2-1 BIG EAST). The two teams remained tied in fourth place of the BIG EAST standings with two games to go. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper

• Providence generated several early chances, including a pair of shot on goal from
Sam Montalto (Stonington, Conn.) and
Bruno Rosa (Cascais, Portugal) in the opening 20 minutes.
