Softball Set To Play Harvard And Boston College

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College softball team will travel to Cambridge, Mass. on Tuesday, April 18 to face Harvard University. The Friars will then welcome the Boston College Eagles to Glay Field in Providence, R.I. on Wednesday, April 19.
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
The Friars enter Tuesday's game with a 12-23 overall record. Providence defeated Stony Brook, 12-7, on Saturday, April 15 in Stony Brook, N.Y.
Junior Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) continues to pace the Friars lineup, as she is hitting a team-high .389 batting average. She also leads the team in hits (42), RBIs (28) and home runs (8). Sophomore Emma Douma (Midland Park, N.J.) has posted a .245 batting average for the Friars recording 24 hits. In the Friars win over Stony Brook, Douma hit a career high two home runs.
SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard enters Tuesday's game with a 21-12-1 overall record. The Crimson earned three wins over Yale in a three-game series on April 14 and April 15.
Senior Allison Heffley leads the Crimson at the plate recording a .374 batting average. She has tallied 40 hits, 12 doubles and 19 RBIs. Junior Madi Mays has recorded 32 hits through 91 at-bats. She has also scored 13 runs for the Crimson and has recorded 18 RBIs.
Freshman Riley Flynn has gone 6-0 in the circle pitching 72.2 total innings for the Crimson. She has struck out a team-high 70 batters and has allowed 24 earned runs.
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
The Eagles come to Glay Field with a 19-22 overall record. Boston College was swept by No. 13 Duke in a three-game series from April 14 – April 16.
Junior Nicole Giery leads the Eagles with a team-high 41 hits posting a .304 batting average. Senior Abigail Knight and sophomore Hannah Slike have each recorded 35 hits for Boston College. Knight leads the team in RBIs (26) while Slike leads the team in home runs (6).

The Friars will host Seton Hall University in a three-game BIG EAST series beginning on Friday, April 21.
