PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College field hockey was well-represented on the 2022 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. On Feb. 9, the organization announced that 965 student-athletes from 77 Division I institutions have earned recognition.
Eleven Friars were featured on the list, including
Emily Antunes,
Bella Carrozza,
Brenna Cavallaro,
Tori Colautti, Eleonore De Keyser,
Bella DelNegro,
Caroline Krebs,
Taylor Ligozio,
McKayla Lyons,
Marley Mailloux and
Lisa McNamara.
Cavallaro, Colautti and McNamara have earned a spot on the Division I National Academic Squad for the fourth-consecutive year.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Davidson College, Harvard University, and Wagner College had the most National Academic Squad selections this year with 19 student-athletes on the list. Rutgers University had the second-most National Academic Squad selections this year, placing 18 student-athletes on the list.
Appearing on the list for the fourth time are 179 student-athletes — undergraduate four-year honorees have been distinguished in the award listing.
