PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College field hockey team was defeated by 19th-ranked Brown, 5-1, on Oct. 26 at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. Prior to the match, Providence honored its senior class of Caroline Krebs (Louisville, Ky.) and Zoe Onken (Acton, Mass.). The Friars evened their record at 8-8 overall, while Brown improved to 9-5.

GAME FLOW:
• The first quarter ended in a scoreless tie, 0-0.
• Brown took a 2-0 lead on back-to-back penalty-corner goals within 45-seconds.
• The first goal came from Estelle Ballet as she deflected a feed from Kate Siedem.
• The second goal came off a direct shot from Lizzie Loftus, assisted by Juliette Meijaard and Lucy Adams.
• The Bears converted another penalty corner opportunity early in the third (32:02). Mia Karine Myklebust deflected a feed from Lexi Pellegrino.Â
• Brown took a 3-0 lead into the fourth quarter.
• Grace Almeida gave the Bears a 4-0 lead at 50:58, assisted by Sophia Clark.
