Field Hockey Announces Three Additions To Roster

Zoe Onken, Mia Stilley and Caroline Krebs will attend Providence and play field hockey for the Friars beginning in the fall of 2022.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College field hockey Head Coach Diane Madl has announced today [April 20] that three student-athletes will be joining her program this fall. Zoe Onken (Acton, Mass.), Mia Stilley (Fall River, Mass.) and Caroline Krebs (Louisville, Ky.) will begin their academic and athletic careers in the fall of 2022. 
 
"We are thrilled to be adding Caroline, Zoe and Mia to our Friar family," Coach Madl said. "Each of them bring something unique and special to our team and it is going to be fun working with them during their careers at Providence. They will fit in very well with our culture as we strive to reach our team goals and compete for championships."
 
Onken, a goalkeeper, attended Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and was a four-year starter in goal. She was a NFHCA High School All-Region selection (2021) and named to the Boston Herald All-Scholastic Team. Onken also was the recipient of the Joanne Paquette Award. She played for Striker Stars Field Hockey for seven years and participated in the National Indoor Tournament (2017-2018, 2020-2021) and the Regional Club Championship Qualifier (2016-2019). Additionally, Onken was selected to participate in the National Futures Championship, where she helped guide her team to a gold medal (2018). 
 
Stilley, a forward, attended Moses Brown High School, where she earned the First-Team All-Division and the Coaches' Award (2021). She helped guide Moses Brown to a runner-up finish in the Rhode Island State Championship (2021). Stilley played for Allegiance Field Hockey Club for five years and has participated in Futures since 2018. She was selected to participate in the Nexus Championship in 2021.
 
Krebs, a midfielder/defender, attended Assumption High School, where she was a two-time team captain (2020, 2021). She was selected for the Junior and Senior All-Star Game (2020, 2021) and is a two-time First Team All-State Academic Team honoree (2019, 2021). Krebs helped guide her team to two appearances in the State Championship Game, claiming the title in 2019. She played in the National Indoor Tournament (2016-2022) and National Club Championship (2018-2022) with her club, IFHCK. Additionally, Krebs was selected to participate in the National Futures Tournament (2019) and Nexus Championship (2021).
