Scouting the Pirates… No. 19 Seton Hall is coming off a 3-2 victory in South Orange, N.J. against Army, their second straight victory in OT on September 14
th. Junior forward, Johannes Pex scored the golden goal in the 96
th minute. Pex leads the Pirates in scoring with 11 points on the season with three goals and five assists. The undefeated Pirates (4-0-2) have played one match against ranked opponents, No. 10 Virginia Tech, where the Pirate's posted a, 3-3 draw. Half of the Pirates games in their undefeated season have gone to overtime.
Scouting the Friars… The Friars have started the 2021 campaign strong with three wins, a tie, and only one loss in their first five matches. The Friars are led in scoring by two sophomores,
Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, R.I.), who has one goal and four assists, and
Brendan McSorley (Randolph, N.J.) who has scored three goals on the season. The Friars will welcome back former BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Davis Smith (Amherst, Mass.) who missed last game against Loyola Maryland due to suspension (red card). Sophomore goalkeeper
Lukas Burns (Cinnaminson, N.J.) was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday Septemeber 13
th after accumulating 12 saves against URI with only one goal allowed and three saves against Loyola Maryland with no goals allowed. Burns has posted a .81 goals allowed average on the season thus far.
Friars against ranked opponents… The Friars have already had two matches in the 2021 season against ranked opponents and hold a 1-1-0 record. On Aug. 26
th , they hosted No. 23 Fordham where the Friars posted a 3-0 victory. On Sep. 3
rd the Friars traveled to No. 14 New Hampshire where they lost 2-1. Seton Hall will be the third rank opponent the Friars have played in their first six games.

The Friars' roster will welcome nine incoming freshman and two transfers for the 2021 fall season.

Simon Triantafillou (Ontario, Canada), a transfer from Syracuse University, and
Miguel Candela (Caceres, Spain), a transfer from Franklin Pierce University.
