Scouting the Rams
Last season, the Rams earned their fourth Atlantic 10 Championship and their fifth NCAA Championship appearance. The Rams defeated George Washington, 2–0, to claim the title. Fordham also earned a spot in the final Top 25 poll to close the season. The Rams top scorer, Matt Sloan, will be returning to the team this season as a graduate student. In nine games, he totaled four goals and one assist for a total of nine points in the shortened season. The Rams were ranked No. 23 in the NCAA United Coaches Poll Preseason rankings.
Scouting the Friars
The Friars finished the 2021 spring season 4-4-1 overall, with a 3-3-1 record in BIG EAST play. The Friars have added nine incoming freshman and two transfers for the upcoming season. After a tough ending to the spring season, having three conference games cancelled, the Friars look to make a BIG EAST Tournament appearance this season. The Friars welcome back leading scorer Gevork Diarban (Cranston, R.I.) as well as All-BIG EAST First Team selection
Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal). Diarban had three goals and one assist for seven points on the season.

The Friars' roster will welcome nine incoming freshman and two transfers for the 2021 fall season.

Colton Madeira (Taunton, Mass.),
Austin Rome (Bowie, Md.),
Alec Lowe (Rutheford, N.J.),
Nathan Lagoa (Rehoboth, Mass.),
Noah Smith (Matthews, N.C.),
Diego Garcia (Wilmington, Mass), and
Colby Campos (Swansea, Mass.) make up the incoming freshman. The Friars' also welcome
Simon Triantafillou (Ontario, Canada) transfer from Syracuse University, and Miguel Candela (Caceres, Spain) transfer from Franklin Pierce University.
