Ramzi Qawasmy Earns United Soccer Coaches All-East Distinction

The junior made the All-East Region Second Team.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Ramzi Qawasmy (Landsdale, Pa.) of the Providence College men's soccer team was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team on Tuesday, May 11. This marks the first time the junior earned the honors.  

Qawasmy started in all nine games for the Friars and logged 846 minutes in the backfield during the abbreviated spring 2021 season. The defender helped the team compile five shutouts on the season while holding opponents to 10.3 shots per game. The junior also led the team in shot on goal percentage (.667) with two of his three shots on net. To conclude the season, he was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
