Gevork Diarbian and Rimi Olatunji Earn BIG EAST Recognition

Diarbian was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week and Olatunji earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, R.I.) and Rimi Olatunji (Brampton, Ontario) of the Providence College men's soccer team earned BIG EAST honors for the second straight week. Diarbian was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week and Olatunji was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday, March 8.
Diarbian scored the golden goal in the 106th minute of play in the Friars 1-0 victory over Villanova on Wednesday, March 3. After the first four games, the freshman leads the team in points (7) and goals (3). He also was earned BIG EAST Weekly honor roll on Monday, March 1.
Olatunji had two clean sheets this week with a 1-0 win over Villanova (March 3) and 0-0 tie with No. 5 Georgetown (March 6). The junior keeper grabbed six saves over the Wildcats and two against the Hoyas. He has not allowed a goal this season. This is his second week earning the honors.
The Friars take on the St. John's Red Storm on Wednesday, March 10 on Chapey Field at Anderson in Providence, R.I. The game is set for kick-off at 3:00 p.m.
