Christopher Roman Named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

This is Roman’s first time receiving the honors.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Christopher Roman (Glastonbury, Conn.) of the Providence College men's soccer team was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, February 22. This marked Roman's first-time receiving league recognition.
Roman helped the Friars defeat in-state rival Rhode Island, 4-0, in their season opener on Saturday, Feb. 20. The junior midfielder scored his second career goal in the in the 62nd minute of action. He also assisted the eventual game-winning goal to Gage Raftery (Seattle, Wash.) with 53 minutes on the clock. Roman had three points on the afternoon.
The Friars are at Connecticut Saturday, Feb. 27 for their First BIG EAST game of the season. The match is set for kick-off at 2:00 P.M. in Storrs, Conn.
