Softball Edged By FGCU In Day Two of UCF Tournament

ORLANDO, FLA. - The Providence College Softball team were defeated by the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles 3-0 at the UCF Tournament on March 4. With the loss, Providence falls to 2-6 on the season.
Megan McCune (Orange, Calif.) led the Providence offense by tallying two singles. Julianne Rurka (Warrenville, Ill.) hit a double as well.
Christina Ramirez (Niceville, Fla.) pitched a complete game for the Friars. Ramirez gave up three runs on six hits while striking out five in the loss. Ramirez now has a record of 2-3 on the season.
The Friars next play on March 5 with games against UCF and FGCU. Providence will play the Golden Knights at 11:00 a.m. and the Eagles at 1:30 p.m.
