VILLANOVA, PA. - The Providence College men's soccer team defeated Villanova, 2-1, in BIG EAST Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Villanova, Pa.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- The Friars held a slim lead in shots (6-5) and corner kicks (2-1) in the first half.
- Providence took a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals from Danny Griffin and Matt DePerro during a five-minute span early in the first half.
- It marked Griffin's second goal of the season and DePerro's third.
- The Wildcats cut the Friars' lead to one (2-1) in the 17th minute as Lucas Vums Hodges converted his sixth goal of the season.
- Colin Miller collected three first-half saves for Providence.
