FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - It was announced today (May 2) that Providence College men's soccer 2015 National Letter of Intent (NLI) signee Zach Herivaux (Brookline, Mass.) has signed a Homegrown Professional contract with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer (MLS), forgoing his NCAA eligibility to join the Revolution's first team.
"Although we are disappointed that Zach will not be joining us in the fall, we are delighted for him and his family as he starts his professional career," Providence College men's soccer Head Coach Craig Stewart said.
"Although he will not step on the field as a Friar, we will always consider him one of our guys and wish him all the best moving forward."
Herivaux is currently the captain of the U-18 Revolution Academy team and has also represented Haiti at the U-20 level. He is scheduled to begin practicing with New England's first team on Monday, becoming the third Homegrown player to join the Revolution.
Stewart will announce Providence's full incoming class for the 2015 season at a later date.
