In the second half, the Friars reeled off six unanswered goals to take the 7-0 victory. Freshman Megan Hamilton (Warrington, Pa.) got the wheels turning for Providence in the 44th minute, as she received a pass from senior Daniella Bernasconi (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) at the doorstep of the cage.

Sophomore Adrienne Houle (Burlington, Ontario) and Hamilton added back-to-back goals in the 48th minute, just 20 seconds apart. Houle cashed in on a reverse stick, which was set up by graduate student Caitlin Malone (Ossining, N.Y.) at 48:17. Hamilton notched her second goal of the game, assisted by Guglielmo, at 48:37.

Houle gave the Friars a 5-0 lead in the 52nd minute with her second goal of the game, assisted by Hamilton. It marked the second multi-goal game of her career.

Guglielmo finished off the scoring with back-to-back goals of her own in the 54th and 59th minutes of play. Hamilton earned the assist on each play. Guglielmo's seven points in the game mark a career high.

The Friars head into the BIG EAST Field Hockey Championship as the No. 4 seed and will face the No. 1 seed (TBA) at 3:30 p.m. in the semifinals on Nov. 7. The No. 2 and No. 3 seeds (TBA) will play at 1:00 p.m. on that day. The winner of each semifinal will advance to the BIG EAST Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1:00 p.m. A complete BIG EAST Tournament bracket will be released by the league office at the completion of today's games.
