Cancelled Event: Softball versus Tarleton State

Providence, R.I. - Providence College softball (3-7) fell to Harvard, 4-3, on Sunday, March 6 to finish up play in the Florida Atlantic Miken Classic Tournament.
Harvard had a 3-0 lead going into the fifth inning when the Friars tied up the game. Freshman Mackenzie Morgan (Sulphur Springs, Texas) scored on a wild pitch and junior Jen Abrams (Reading, Mass.) notched a two-run single that scored junior Michelle Huber (Dana Point, Calif.) and sophomore Alaina Thomas (San Jose, Calif.).
The game remained tied going into the seventh when Harvard managed to take the lead back off of an RBI single. The Crimson maintained the lead and went on to win the game.
Junior Alicia Grosso (Baldwin, N.Y.) pitched seven innings and allowed only three earned runs on six hits.
The Friars are back in action when they play Winthrop at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, as part of the Winthop Adidas Classic in Rock Hill, S.C.
