Providence (2-1-1) is coming off a 3-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Wednesday, September 15 at Glay Field. Sophomore Wilder Arboleda (Pawtucket, R.I.) scored his first collegiate goal just 3:08 into the match to give the Friars a 1-0 lead. Classmate Marc Cintron (Piscataway, N.J.) then doubled Providence's lead with a header early in the second half, but the Pioneers scored on a penalty kick to cut the margin to 2-1. Arboleda netted his second goal of the match with 50 seconds remaining in the second half to seal Providence's second win of the season. Quinnipiac (0-3) is seeking its first win of the season after a 2-1 loss at Loyola on Saturday, September 11. William Daniels scored late in the second half to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead, but the Greyhounds evened the score before the halftime whistle and netted the game winner in the 82nd minute.
