ORLANDO, Fla. - The Providence College softball team rallied to a 3-1 victory over Harvard in the second day of the UCF Tournament held in Orlando, Fla.
The Crimson (1-2) led 1-0 going into the fourth inning, but the Friars (4-10) scored twice in the fourth to take the lead for good. Sophomore Michelle Huber (Dana Point, Calif.) tripled to drive in one run and tie the game at 1-1. Huber eventually came around to score on a wild pitch and make the score, 2-1. Huber also scored an insurance run in the sixth inning.
In the pitcher's circle, sophomore Alicia Grosso (Baldwin, N.Y.) pitched a complete game, allowed one run on five hits and struck out four batters.
The Friars are back in action later this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. against tournament host UCF.
