As a Freshman:Placed 14th in the 100 yard backstroke (58.84) at the New England Catholic Invitational… At the Harold Anderson Invitational, Maloney placed 20th in the 50 freestyle (23.08), 12th in the 100 backstroke (55.91), and 17th in the 200 backstroke (2:06.04)…Placed 11th in the 100 scm freestyle (59.11) against Maine…Maloney qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in Geneva, Ohio in the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 100 backstroke.
Before Providence: Earned four varsity letters swimming and two varsity letters playing lacrosse at Harriton High School of Lower Marion… captain of the swim team during Senior year… two time MVP Junior and Senior year… PIAA State Qualifier Senior year… 1st Team All-Central League Senior year… 1st Team All Mainline Senior year… two-time Harriton Boys Athlete of the Year his Junior and Senior year… named Mainline Athlete of the week on March 13, 2017… Member of the National Honor Society and earned a consistent Academic Honor Roll.
