Senior Jacque Harrington hit a two-run home run.

OMAHA, Neb.- The Providence College softball team defeated the Creighton Bluejays (33-20, 16-8 BIG EAST), 2-0, in the season finale on May 5 in Omaha, Neb. The Friars concluded the 2024 season with a 22-23-1 overall record and an 11-13 mark in BIG EAST play. Senior Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) went 2-for-3 at the plate, including a two-run home run that marked the only runs of the game. Harrington finished her collegiate career with 31 home runs, 157 hits and 92 runs scored.

GAME NOTES

-Harrington drilled a two-run home run over the left field fence to give the Friars a 2-0 advantage in the bottom of the first.

-Providence was able to hold off the Blue Jays over the remaining innings to finish with a 2-0 win.

-Freshman Alyssa Twomey (Warwick, R.I.) was awarded the 14^th win of her rookie season in the circle for the Friars. Twomey recorded two strikeouts while allowing only four hits and holding the Bluejays scoreless.
