Logan Cook and Brynn Farrell will attend Providence and play for the Friars beginning in the Fall of 2022.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's basketball Head Coach Jim Crowley announced today [June 9] that transfers Logan Cook (Iowa City, Iowa) and Brynn Farrell (Ortley Beach, N.J.) will attend Providence and join the team, beginning in the fall of 2022. Cook played four seasons at the University of Iowa (2018-22) and will pursue her MBA at Providence, while Farrell competed at the University of Florida for two seasons (2020-22) and joins the Friars as a junior.

Cook, a 6-1, forward, was part of Iowa's Big Ten Tournament titles in 2019 and 2022. During that time, the Hawkeye's also enjoyed deep runs in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 (2022) and the Elite 8 (2019). She appeared in 53 career games at Iowa and averaged 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds. On Dec. 22, 2020, Cook recorded career highs in points (12) and rebounds (nine) against Western Illinois, while shooting 5-5 from the field. Prior to attending Iowa, she played high school basketball at Iowa City West. Cook was a two-time All-State selection (2017, 2018) and averaged 13.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists as a senior. Cook and current Providence College sophomore Audrey Koch were teammates at Iowa City West and both played AAU basketball for the Iowa Barnstormers.

"We are very excited to have Logan join our program," Crowley said. "She will give us immediate talent, experience and depth at the forward position. She comes from a terrific Iowa program and will fit very well into what we do on both ends of the floor. We are confident she will provide a winning leadership example that will impact our group."

Farrell, a 6-0, guard, played her first two years of college basketball at Florida. Both seasons were cut short due to injury, playing just 28 games overall and averaging 2.9 points per contest. She recorded a career-high 17 points on 5-5 shooting from the field against Grambling State (Nov. 19, 2021). Before making her way to Florida, Farrell played two seasons of high school basketball at Metuchen before enrolling at St. Rose to complete her junior and senior year. She was a four-star recruit in the class of 2020 and ranked No. 123 overall by ProspectsNation. She also was given a scouts' grade of 89 by espnW and ranked No. 28 overall in her class at the wing position. The McDonald's All-America Game nominee scored over 2,000 points during her high school career and was a two-time All-State selection. As a freshman, she led the State of New Jersey in scoring, averaging 28.1 points per game, while also contributing 12.8 rebounds per contest. Farrell played AAU basketball for Exodus.

"Brynn is a very talented and physical scorer who will be a great asset to how we play," Crowley said. "She was a standout in high school and on the high-level AAU circuit, and we are very excited to have her join our program. Brynn's experience in the SEC has prepared her to help make a positive impact on our program right away."

Cook and Farrell are one of three additions to the Friars' 2022-23 roster. In November, Crowley received a National Letter of Intent from Kammie Ludwig (Geneseo, Ill.). Ludwig is a 5-10, guard who currently attends Geneseo High School and competed on the AAU circuit with All Iowa Attack.
