PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's basketball Head Coach Jim Crowley announced today [Nov. 11] that Kammie Ludwig (Geneseo, Ill.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Providence College beginning in the fall of 2022.

Ludwig, a 5-foot-10-inch guard, currently attends Geneseo High School and also competed for the All Iowa Attack. She is First Team All-Western Big 6 selection and two-time Illinois Quad Cities Metro Player of the Year. During the 2020-21 campaign, she averaged 21.2 points per game and helped Geneseo win an unofficial league title during a shortened junior season due to COVID-19.

Ludwig, who also earned IBCA All-State accolades surpassed the 1,000-point milestone last season.

"Kammie can score the ball in a lot of ways and plays with a pace that will fit our offense very well," Crowley said. "She comes from great high school and AAU coaching and we are thrilled that she will be a Friar. She has a great work ethic and will be a very good fit for our program and Providence College."

The current 2021-22 season is underway for Providence College and the Friars will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 13 against Maine. The game will be played in Orono, Maine and is scheduled to tip off at 1:00 p.m.
