NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sophomore
Jacque Harrington (Bedford, N.H.) of the Providence College softball team earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday, May 11.
In BIG EAST play, Harrington tallied a .358 batting average, 29 hits, nine doubles, six home runs, 14 RBI and a .691 slugging percentage. Overall, she led the team offensively posting team-highs in batting average (.359), hits (51) and home runs (12). Harrington concluded the regular season ranked in the top-10 in six different statistical categories in the conference. She ranks second in home runs (12), third in slugging percentage (.690), ninth in batting average (.359) and is tied for eighth in hits (51). She also ranks seventh in on-base percentage (.452) and third in total bases (98). Harrington was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice this season (March 7, May 9).
