PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College men's lacrosse team fell to No. 2 Georgetown, 15-5, on April 9 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I. The Friars dropped to 5-6 overall (0-2 BIG EAST), while the Hoyas improved to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in BIG EAST Conference action.
First Quarter:

Jack Horrigan got the scoring started for the Friars at 13:21 mark to provide a 1-0 lead.
- Georgetown closed out the low-scoring first quarter with back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead into the second.

Second Quarter:
- The Hoyas scored the opening two goals of the quarter to gain a three-goal advantage (4-1).

Chris Cusolito tallied a Providence goal with 1:43 remaining to make it a 4-2 game.
- Georgetown found the back of the net with just five seconds remaining in the half and carried a 5-2 lead into halftime.
Third Quarter:
- Georgetown scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter to take a 10-2 lead into the final frame.
- Graham Bundy was credited with two of the Hoyas' five goals in the quarter, bringing his total to four on the afternoon.
- Providence attempted five shots in the third and put two on target.
Fourth Quarter:
- The Hoyas tacked on two goals, bringing their streak to eight-straight, to start the fourth quarter and improved their lead to 12-2.

Wynton Bastian halted the Hoyas' run with his first career goal at the 10:15 mark.
- Georgetown responded with three more goals, to up its lead to 15-3 midway through the quarter.

Billy Metz tallied his first career goal for Providence with 1:51 remaining in the game to make the score 15-4. Metz's goal was unassisted.

Luke O'Grady added another goal for the Friars with 57-seconds left on the clock. It marked his first goal of the season and the fifth of his career.
Game Notes:
- Georgetown won 21-of-23 face-off opportunities in the victory.
- The Hoyas also held a 57-30 advantage in shots and a 49-20 edge in ground balls.
- Harris finished the afternoon with 18 saves in goal for PC, while Michael Scharfenberger collected eight saves and allowed three goals before being relieved by Todd Kennedy, Jr. with 4:24 to play (2 GA / 0 SV).
