FRIARS BACK IN ACTION...
Providence College will host the No. 8 Brown University Bears on Saturday, March 5 in game two of the Ocean State Cup. Face-off is set for 1:00 p.m. on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. This is the second game for the Friars in the Ocean State Cup. Providence fell to Bryant University at home, 7-19, on Feb. 12. The last time the Friars won the Ocean State Cup was in 2020. Providence defeated Bryant, 16-9, and Brown, 13-12 in overtime.

SERIES BREAKDOWN...
Since 1980, the Friars and Bears have met 25 times. Brown holds a 23-2 series advantage over Providence. In their last meeting during the 2020 season, the Friars defeated the Bears, 13-12, in overtime.
Matt Grillo scored three goals in the win as Providence claimed the 2020 Ocean State Cup after defeating Bryant and Brown.

Last weekend the Friars hosted Saint Josephs and fell to the Hawkes 8-15. Grillo recorded his 13
th career hat trick in the match and
Evan McGreen notched two goals and two assists.
SCOUTING BROWN...
The Bears enter Saturday's matchup with a 3-1 record. Brown has defeated Villanova (15-14), Vermont (12-11) and Quinnipiac (19-13) in the nonconference lineup, with their one loss being against the No. 1 University of North Carolina (11-14).
Brown is currently ranked eighth in the nation and was selected fifth in the 2022 Ivy League Preseason Poll.
PLAYERS TO WATCH...
Junior Devon McLane leads Brown with 15 goals and 27 points. Senior Darian Cook is second on the team with ten goals and 18 points. Goalie Connor Theriault has made three starts in net. He leads the team with a .505 save percentage and 13.00 goals against average. Theriault has picked up his first collegiate win over Vermont.
