The Friars return to Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium to take on the Hofstra University Pride this Saturday, Mar. 26. Face-off is set for 1:00 p.m.

SERIES BREAKDOWN - PROVIDENCE VS. HOFSTRA...
The Friars are 2-7 all-time against Hofstra. In the teams last meetings during the 2019 season, Providence defeated the Pride, 11-10.
LAST TIME OUT...
The Friars most recently traveled to Fairfield University, but fell to the Stags, 11-15. Matt Grillo and Michael Chabra both recorded hat tricks in the outing while Quinn McConnaughey led the team in groundballs (five). Goaltender Michael Harris recorded 13 saves in net.

Senior attackman Matt Grillo will search for his 100th career goal as Friar this Saturday. Currently standing at 99 goals, Grillo needs to net just one to reach the 100 mark. He will become the fifth Friar to reach the milestone behind Ed Loiselle '92, Ken Leahy '00, Chris McManus '97 and Mike Chapey '86.
This season, Grillo has averaged 3.25 goals per game. He currently ranks fifth all-time in program history for goals and 15th in points.
SCOUTING HOFSTA...
Hofstra enters the weekend 4-5 after falling to Rutgers in their last match-up, 22-10. The Pride averages 9.7 goals per game while holding a .458 faceoff percentage and 7.5 caused turnovers per game.
PLAYERS TO WATCH…
Gerard Kane leads the Pride with a team-high 13 goals on attack, while midfield Matt Elder has posted eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points. Mac Gates has played nine games in net for the Pride and holds a .541 save percentage and 10.51 goals against average.
WHAT'S NEXT…
The Friars will kick off BIG EAST play against Marquette University next weekend on Saturday, April 2 in Milwaukee, Wis. Opening faceoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
