Kari Shedrick Named To The BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Freshman Kari Shedrick (Apex, N.C.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Feb. 21.
 
Shedrick posted a .462 batting average over five games in the Elon Softball Phoenix Invitational from Feb. 18 – 20. She went 6-for-13 at the plate, including a walk-off single in the Friars 3-2 win against Morgan State on Saturday, Feb. 19. Shedrick carried a .538 slugging percentage and a .533 on base percentage.
 
The Friars will travel to Santa Barbara, Calif. to compete in the University of California- Santa Barbara (UCSB) Invitational from Friday, Feb. 25 – Sunday, Feb. 27. Providence will matchup against Idaho State, UCSB and Boise State.
