LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.- The Providence College men's lacrosse team defeated the Siena College Saints, 13-8, in a snowy Loudonville, N.Y. on Saturday, Feb. 19 in a nonconference road game.
First Quarter:
•Matt Grillo (Setauket, N.Y.) got the Friars on the board, 1-0, just 1:50 into play.
• Jack Horrigan (Lutherville, Md.) followed up Grillo's goal with two of his own at 9:10 and 7:19 to carry a 3-0 Friars lead into the first intermission. Horrigan's second goal was with the extra-man.
• Providence held a 7-5 shot advantage through the first quarter.
Second Quarter:
• Grillo started off the scoring in the second, 4-0, with a goal at 9:19 with help from
Evan McGreen (Narragansett, R.I.).

Chris Cusolito (Melrose, Mass.) improved the Friars lead, 5-0, before Grillo netted two more goals to give the Friars a 7-0 lead at the half.
Third Quarter:
• Horrigan scored first for the Friars in the third quarter, 8-0, with his second of the day at 13:37.
• McGreen put in two goals in a row, 10-0, at 10:52 and 6:27.
• Siena responded 23 seconds later with their first goal. of the day, 10-1. The Saints added one more with 47 seconds remaining in the quarter, 10-2.
• Grillo scored one more for the Friars with one second remaining to end the third quarter, 11-2.
Fourth Quarter:
• Siena scored first in the fourth, 11-3, at 13:44.
• Brendan Driscoll (Middleton, Mass.) got his name of the score card, 12-3, with a goal at 10:55.
• The Saints scored two more just 34 seconds apart with four minutes remaining in play, 12-5.

Ty Thureson (Stillwater, Minn.) scored his first collegiate goal, 13-5, on the man-up at 4:16.
• Siena netted to final three goals of the game, back-to-back, the finish the match at 13-8.
Game Notes:
• In the teams first meeting since 2013, Providence recorded their first win over the Siena Saints since the 2008 season.
• Grillo notched the 13th hat trick of his career. He finished the day with a team-high five goals.
• Horrigan recorded his first career hat trick on three goals.
• Providence had six different players find the back of the net.
