Mackensie Compton Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Mackensie Compton (Langhorne, Penn.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, March 9. This marked the first time this season that Compton was named to the honor roll.
Compton went 7-16 at the plate this weekend in the 2020 Clearwater Spring Break Invitational. She posted a .438 batting average and .875 slugging percentage. Four of her seven hits went for extra bases with two doubles, one triple and one home run. She also added a team-high six RBI in the tournament. Compton has had a strong start to her senior campaign, leading the team in home runs (five), hits (16), and slugging percentage (.826) through the team's first 15 games.
Providence play a doubleheader against Ohio and Cleveland State on Tuesday, March 10. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in game one followed by a 3:00 p.m. first pitch in game two.
