PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Jackie Martin (Bridgeton, N.J.) of the Providence College softball team was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the BIG EAST Championship on Saturday, May 11. The Friars were defeated by DePaul, 4-0, in the second semifinal on Friday, May 10. Martin ended the season with a perfect fielding percentage (1.000) behind the dish as she accumulated 161 put-outs without any errors. She finished the season with 13 hits, six RBI and two home runs. Martin hit her first two career home runs this season against Florida A&M on March 16 and Harvard on April 16. She will return to the Friar lineup next season with her last season of eligibility.
