The Friars will play at Harvard on Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m.

LIVE STATS AND STREAM... Saturday's game will be broadcast through ESPN+ and will have live stats available through gocrimson.com.

SERIES BREAKDOWN - PROVIDENCE VS. HARVARD... The Friars are 0-4 all-time against Harvard. Last season the Friars fell to the Crimson, 11-8. Three different Friars notched two goals, including current players Ryan Nawrocki (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Nick Hatzipetrakos (Syosset, N.Y.). Tate Boyce (Matthews, N.C.) made 13 saves in the game.

SHOOTOUT WITH SACRED HEART... Providence was edged by Sacred Heart (March 2) by a score of 17-16. Brendan Kearns (Wantagh, N.Y.) posted a league-high eight points (five goals, three assists). Tim Hinrichs (Amherst, N.H.) had six points on a goal and five assists. Hatzipetrakos scored four times and freshman Matt Grillo (Setauket, N.Y.) posted a hat trick. Boyce made 11 saves in the loss.

FRIARS WIN BIG AT ST. JOSEPH'S... Providence picked up a 14-5 road win on Feb. 23 at SJU. Grillo posted seven points on three goals and four assists. Hatzipetrakos added three goals and Hinrichs tallied one goal and three assists for four points. Tate Boyce notched a season-high 27 saves.

BOYCE NAMED TO TEWAARTON WATCH LIST AND A SENIOR CLASS AWARD CANDIDATE... Boyce, a three-time All-BIG EAST First Team selection, was recently named to the Tewaaraton Watch List for the second-consecutive season (Feb. 28). He was then named one of 30 candidates for the prestigous Senior CLASS Award (March 4). The goalkeeper has already had a storied career in Friartown, including being named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year and a USILA/Nike Third-Team All-American in 2017. For his career, Boyce holds a 9.42 goals against average, a .545 save percentage and has accumulated 589 total saves.

So far this season Boyce has a 9.32 goals against average and a .582 save percentage. He currently ranks ninth in the nation in save percentage and 11th in goals against average. He's also first in the league in saves per game, averaging 12.80.

HATZ TRICK... After being held scoreless on opening day against BU, Nick Hatzipetrakos has recorded 14 goals in the last four games. He posted four at Holy Cross and against Sacred Heart and tacked on three at Bryant and St. Joseph's. The senior has 63 goals and 22 assists in his career for 85 total points.

GRILLO GETS GOING... Freshman Matt Grillo has had a strong start to his rookie campaign, starting all five contests. He ranks second on the team in points (17) and is third in both goals (10) and assists (seven).He was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Feb. 25 after a seven-point performance at St. Joseph's.

KILLING OFF PENALTIES... Providence leads the BIG EAST in penalty-killing percentage, allowing just five goals on 19 attempts (.737). The Friars are also the only team in the league to record a man-down goal this season.

ROMEO LEADS AT THE 'X'... Junior RJ Romeo (Wilton, Conn.) is 37-of-70 (.529) from the face-off 'X'. He leads the team in both attempts and face-off percentage. He ranks third in the BIG EAST in ground balls per game (5.00) and is fourth in face-off percentage.

VICTORY AT HOLY CROSS... Providence notched its first victory of the season on Feb. 9, defeating Holy Cross by a score of 12-5. Hatzipetrakos scored four goals, while Grillo added two goals and three assists for a team-high five points. Brendan Kearns collected four total points on three goals and an assist. Boyce made 10 saves in net and allowed just five goals.

FRIARS PICKED TO FINISH FIFTH IN BIG EAST POLL... Providence was picked to finish fifth in the 2019 BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll with a total of 10 points. Denver was picked to win the league, having collected four first-place votes and 25 points overall. Marquette (18 points) was picked to finish second and Georgetown (17 points), who received one first place vote, was picked third.

TWO FRIARS EARN PRESEASON ALL-BIG EAST SPOTS... It was announced by the league on Wednesday, Jan. 23 that Providence College men's lacrosse players Tate Boyce and Alex George (Simsbury, Conn.) were named to the 2019 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Boyce, who has now been on the squad for three-consecutive seasons, was a unanimous selection.

WHERE KEARNS RANKS... Last year, senior Brendan Kearns became the 22nd player in program history to reach the 100-point mark. He currently has 79 goals and 47 assists for 126 total points. He is 11th all-time in points and ranks 13th all-time in goals.

In the BIG EAST, Kearns is currently tied for third in points per game (3.60). He is also sitting at eighth in the league in goals per game (2.40). He's been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice already this season (Feb. 11 and March 4).

ROOKIES... The Friars welcomed 11 freshmen to the men's lacrosse program in the fall of 2018. Newcomers include Jake Antonucci (Westwood, Mass.), Will Ciccarelli (West Chester, Pa.), Matt Gould (Darien, Conn.), Matt Grillo (Setauket, N.Y.), Michael Harris (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Rainier Lee (Alexandria, Va.), Cam Martin (Westwood, Mass.), Ryan Mechler (Marlborough, Mass.), Luke O'Grady (Wayne, Pa.), Mike O'Grady (Milton, Mass.) and Will Thomas (Cohasset, Mass.).

SCOUTING HARVARD.. The Crimson are 1-3 so far this season, having recently picked up their first win at Hartford (March 2). Harvard averages 11.50 goals per game, while giving up 11.78 per game. The team is dangerous on man-up advantages, scoring on 10 of 21 attempts (.476). They rank ninth in the nation in man-up offense.

PLAYERS TO WATCH...  Freshman Austin Madronic leads the team offensively with 15 points on 10 goals and five assists. Juniors Kyle Anderson and Ryan Graff each have 14 points. Sophomore Kyle Salvatore is the fourth player in double-figures, as he has 10 points, including a team-best nine assists.

Sophomore Kyle Mullin has played all four games in net. He holds an 11.44 goals against average and a .545 save percentage. He ranks 10th in the nation in saves per game, averaging 13.75.

WHAT'S NEXT... The Friars continue a three-game road swing, taking on Hofstra on March 16 at 1:00 p.m.
