Lundstrom Named BIG EAST Player Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College softball sophomore outfielder Nicole Lundstrom (Rehoboth, Mass.) was named BIG EAST Player of the Week today (April 6), as it was announced by the conference.

Lundtrom went 4-for-7 at the plate in three games against Bulter this past weekend. All four of her hits were homeruns. The right fielder led the team with a .571 batting average and six RBI, which helped the Friars claim two of three games in the series. She hit two home runs in PC's first game to give the Friars a 2-0 win. Lundstrom also hit a long ball in each game to complete the series (Games 2 and 3).

The Friars are hosting Seton Hall for their rescheduled BIG EAST Conference three-game series on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7. Monday's doubleheader is slated for 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., while Tuesday's single game will begin at 12:00 p.m. All three games of the Seton Hall series will be streamed live on Friars.com as part of the Friars All-Access subscription service.
