PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College softball team (13-21, 4-4 BIG EAST) will travel to Tampa, Fla. this week for a Wednesday, April 11 doubleheader with the USF Bulls (36-5, 9-0 BIG EAST) slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The Friars are looking to bounce back after being swept at home by Pittsburgh over the weekend, 2-1, 5-4, and 6-2. Senior Michelle Huber (Dana Point, Calif.) led the Friars over the weekend with a .444 batting average, four hits and a .556 slugging percentage while junior Stephanie Kiesel (Ramona, Calif.) and senior Jen Abrams (Reading, Mass.) each collected three hits.

USF is in the midst of a 16-game winning streak, including a three-game sweep of BIG EAST rival St. John's at home this past weekend. The last time these teams met were in 2010 in Providence, R.I., where USF took two out of three from the Friars.
