Providence Softball Falls to Boston College, 9-3

PROVIDENCE, R.I --The Lady Friar softball team fell to Boston College, 9-3 in drizzling rain in Providence, R.I.

Boston College recorded five runs in the top of the first inning to give the Eagles the edge. Providence was led by junior Maureen Moore who recorded two of the team's five hits. The Friars rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh as freshman Kerri Jacklets recorded a double and knocked in both runs.

Providence pitcher Heather Nathan earned the loss on the mound. Boston College pitcher Mary Dietz earned the win as she made 15 strikeouts. Providence falls to 9-12-1 while Boston College improves to 15-3-1.
