HANOVER, NH - The Friar softball squad split with the Dartmouth Big Green yesterday in Hanover, NH. The Friars fell in the first game, 4-2 then came back to win, 3-0 behind a no-hitter by pitcher Heather Nathan (South Hemptstead, NY).

In the opener, the Friars managed three hits including two by freshman Bonnie Skrenta (St. James, NY) who was 2-3 at the plate with two runs batted in. Dartmouth recorded 12 hits as Friar pitcher Robyn West (Gansevoort, NY) gave up three runs in the first inning to receive the loss on the mound. She falls to 5-7 overall this season.

In the second contest, sophomore Kerri Jacklets (Sayville, NY) tallied three hits including a double while sophomore Gwyn Mangini (Gansevoort, NY) recorded two hits and two runs. Junior Heather Nathan recorded her first no-hitter of her career as she struck out six and walked none in seven innings. An error by a Friar in the second inning prevented the perfect game as a Dartmouth player landed on first base after a shortstop error.

The Friars fall to 8-21 overall.
