Men’s And Women’s Basketball Teams Up With Providence Rec For A Free Youth Basketball Clinic Sponsored By Amica

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- On Friday, July 18, the Providence men's and women's basketball programs teamed up with the Providence Recreation Department to host an annual free basketball clinic for children enrolled in the Providence Rec Summer Program. The clinic took place at the Corliss Park Basketball Courts in Providence, R.I.  This year's clinic was sponsored by Amica Mutual Insurance, and drinks were provided by Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast.

ESPN and BIG EAST Sign New Multi-Year Digital Media Rights Agreement Bolstering Coverage For Basketball And Olympic Sports

NEW YORK, N.Y. - ESPN and the BIG EAST Conference have announced a new six-year digital media rights agreement, adding hundreds of live BIG EAST events to ESPN's robust college sports portfolio. A minimum of 75 women's basketball and 200 Olympic sports events will stream on ESPN+ annually beginning in the 2025-26 academic season. This deal will also include a minimum of 25 non-conference games annually for BIG EAST men's basketball.

Mark Ellis Named Director Of High Performance At Providence College

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced today [June 25] that Mark Ellis has been named Director of High Performance / High Performance Coach – Women's Basketball at Providence College. In this role, he will oversee five full-time high performance coaches and one graduate assistant. He also will serve as the primary high performance coach for women's basketball.

Women's Basketball To Compete In Emerald Coast Classic

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Global Sports announced its tournament field and game matchups for the second annual Emerald Coast Classic today [June 17]. The Providence College women's basketball team will be one of eight teams competing in the tournament scheduled for Nov. 24-25. The event will be held at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla.
