Providence College women's basketball Head Coach
Erin Batth announced today [Dec. 19] that
Nalani Kaysia (Washington, D.C.) will join the team and enroll at Providence mid-year as a graduate student. Kaysia played three seasons of NCAA Division I basketball at George Mason (2022-25).Â
Kaysia, a 6-2 forward, played 68 games at George Mason with 65 appearances in the starting line-up. In three seasons with the Patriots, she averaged 8.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots per game. Last year, she started 32 games and averaged 7.5 points and 9.7 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 assist per game. She finished the season ranked fourth in the A-10 in rebounding and 35th in the nation. After being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in 2023, she claimed Atlantic 10 Preseason Third Team honors in each of the next two seasons. In 2024-25, the team captain helped George Mason to the Atlantic 10 Championship. At the conclusion of the tournament, Kaysia was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
Prior to attending George Mason, Kaysia played three seasons of NCAA Division I volleyball at Charlotte (2019-21).Â
