BIG EAST Conference Unveils 2024-25 Women's Basketball Regular-Season Schedule

Friars open conference play at Seton Hall on December 21.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Conference unveiled its 2024-25 regular-season schedule for women's basketball on Sept. 25. For a second-straight year, the women's BIG EAST schedule will consist of 18 games. Each school will play eight opponents twice and two opponents once. The Friars' single-game opponents for 2024-25 are Butler and Villanova.

Providence will play its first two league games on the road. The Friars open BIG EAST action on Dec. 21 at Seton Hall for a second-straight year. The game will be played at Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, N.J. Providence will head to the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. to take on UConn on Dec. 29.
 
The Friars will play five of eight games during the month of January at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. The stretch begins with back-to-back home games against St. John's (Jan. 1) and Creighton (Jan. 4). 
 
Providence hits the road for its next two games and will face Butler on Jan. 8 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., followed by a match-up against DePaul on Jan. 12 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Ill. 
 
The Friars will enjoy a three-game home stand, beginning on Jan. 15 against Xavier. Providence also will welcome Georgetown and Marquette to Alumni Hall during that stretch on Jan. 18 and Jan. 22, respectively.
 
Providence closes the month of January at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, N.Y. against St. John's on Jan. 29.
 
On Feb. 2, the Friars make the trip to Omaha, Neb. to take on Creighton at D.J. Sokol Arena, before playing four of the next six games in Providence, R.I. On Feb. 6, the Friars will host DePaul at Alumni Hall. 
 
On Feb. 9, Providence will host UConn at Amica Mutual Pavilion. The Friars last hosted a game at Amica Mutual Pavilion during the 2009-10 season, when the Providence hosted West Virginia during BIG EAST action.
 
The Friars go back on the road to face Xavier on Feb. 12 at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, before returning home to Alumni Hall to face Seton Hall on Feb. 16.
 
On Feb. 19, Providence will take on Marquette at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, Wis., followed by a tilt against Villanova on Feb. 23. The match-up between Providence and Villanova will mark the final regular-season home game of the year.
 
Providence closes the conference schedule against Georgetown on March 1 at McDonough Arena in Washington, D.C.
