Women's Basketball Holds Off The Croatian All-Stars For a 64-60 Victory

Grace Efosa recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

SPLIT, CROATIA - The Providence College women's basketball team defeated the Croatian All-Stars, 64-60, on Monday, Aug. 12 in Split, Croatia. The Friars were led by graduate student Grace Efosa, who posted a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Efosa also dished three assists and collected three steals.

The Friars built a 37-27 lead at halftime, but the Croatian All-Stars chipped away to gain their first advantage of the game with 6:00 minutes remaining in regulation. Providence responded nicely in the closing minutes to claim the four-point win.

Brynn Farrell joined Efosa in double-figures with 15 points. Emily Archibald added 12 points, five rebounds and two steals.

Providence earned victories in both games on the Greece / Croatia tour and will head to Dubrovnik, Croatia tomorrow [Aug. 13] for two days before returning home to the United States.
